Fiona Paul, Actress
Portfolio for theatre, film and TV

The Background

I met Fiona while I was photographing the rehearsals and performance of the Buxton Fringe production, 'Last Laugh'. This radio play, written by High Peak Writers was adapted for theatre by Caroline Small and produced by Louise Glasscoe. The play, in which Fiona played the lead part depicts a Comedienne suffering a nervous breakdown and her subsequent recovery in a psychiatric unit.
Fiona has huge dramatic range and needed a portfolio of candid, black and white head shots on a light background that portrayed her virtuosity. This would enable her Agent to then approach Casting Directors and find suitable parts for Fiona in TV, film and the theatre.

The Technicalities

The shoot for these images took one day at a location able to accommodate lights and a 4x6x1ft softbox/backdrop. This is my selection and does not necessarily reflect Fiona's Agent's choice of images.
Although Actor's portfolios are usually presented in monotone, each image was produced in B&W and colour on a DVD.
