Claire Glasscoe Portraiture

People have always fascinated me and I was regularly reprimanded as a child for staring at them! But I wanted to drink in all their nuances and what distinguished them from others. This is the trait that perhaps led me to the theatre, dance and ultimately training as a psychotherapist with children and families and finally a qualitative researcher. At its most satisfying, the relationship I have with the person sitting for me seems at times like a dance - a nonverbal communication punctuated by the clang of the shutter that chimes a synchronised rhythm. The image then reflects what passed between us.
